By having these essentials on hand, you can ensure that your overnight guests feel comfortable, welcomed, and well taken care of, even if their visit is unexpected.
It's wonderful if your home allows for a specific "guest room". We have had that before and I loved it. I kept it "guest ready" or "foster kid ready" at all times. When we haven't had that luxury, I have kept a box in my linen closet that has all of the essentials. I keep very nice bedding, towels, etc. in it that we don't use and it only comes out for guests. That way I am always prepared and I wouldn't be caught short of anything because it was in the laundry. The point here, is to prepare ahead of time so you are always prepared.
